Social Mindful Awareness

I have had a self sabotage that lingers way into my healing journey, social media use.

It's been insidious over the years, sort of just crept in to my life and then it was fixed in like some pin that helped a broken bone heal!

I did other things too, watched hours of DVDs back in the day, then streaming services, and I am very careful with video games, especially game apps on my phone, because the distraction from my life and emotional state can hold me rigidly stuck.

I have learned self awareness and radical responsibility for what I do to be the key to taking control of these things, or rather loving myself enough to vision better for who I am. Social Media lingered longest though, and is the thing I still have to stay constantly aware of how I'm using.

This is all why I do what I do now to support other people though, and why my latest offering has just come about.

I would see my friends all the time saying they were leaving FB for a while because it had all got too much. Aside from the compelling side of the doom-scroll, there's all the icky side too. The name calling, keyboard warriors, news you don't want to see, stories that trigger your wounds, etc.

It can just become an even bigger part of the pain we want to hide from.
